Red Rose Repeater Group is a family project located in Elswick & Freckleton, Preston.
Wayne (G0HIJ) has been licenced since 1986 and is very passionate about amateur radio and decided he wanted to give back to the community and provide a reliable and efficient service to many radio amateurs across the North West
Matt (M6CEB) has been licenced since 2009 and has been very active on the Digital modes including Yaesu System Fusion (C4FM) and DMR (Digital Mobile Radio)
Matt has also build a successful website (m6ceb.com) and enjoys writing Ham Radio Reviews

Red Rose Repeater Group is all about bringing Radio Amateurs together from all over the north west, and connecting the north west to around the word via Yaesu System Fusion!

We started with just one gateway over a year ago now MB6IPR and have grown now to 3 gateways, the other ones being MB6PR & MB6IFR!

After a successful year with our Fusion gateways we decided that we would love to provide a repeater to the North West with possible future plans to incorporate digital.

Our gateways and repeater are located in the beautiful village of Elswick, Preston. Surrounded by open fields so there’s no obstructions.
What a Beautiful site.
At 53°50′20″N 2°52′50″W (53.839°, −2.880°), and approximately 240 miles (390 km) north-west of London, Elswick lies on a coastal plain called the Fylde. It is approximately 8.5 miles (14 km) east of the seaside resort of Blackpool, approximately 7 miles (11 km) south-east of Poulton-le-Fylde and about 12 miles (19 km) north-west of its post town, Preston. Nearby villages include Great Eccleston, St Michael’s on Wyre and Thistleton.
